WORSHIP AUDITONS

Participate in the Prayer Room while developing deeper intimacy and closeness with God in the atmosphere of worship.

Our worship and prayer format is based on the heavenly picture that we see in Revelation 5, which speaks of the harp and the bowl—worship and prayer coming together.

Get equipped in how to participate in the prayer room through worship and prayer, while also learning practices that deepen intimacy with the Lord. Check out our classes below

Auditions are held promptly at 1pm from 1-3pm every 2nd Saturday of the Month at 1403 N. Lake Ave.

All those auditioning must be signed in and present for the orientation which starts at 1:15pm. Sign-up and audition order is on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you arrive before 1:15pm, you will be guaranteed an audition. Arriving later than 1:15pm, you will not be guaranteed an audition, but will will acommodate you if time allows.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING AUDITIONS

Auditions will begin with a live example of the audition process. Please bring your own Bible to the audition for the purpose of singing the Scripture. Auditions for multiple positions are permitted.

Musicians | will play along with our Worship Leader on several worship songs in different tempos and key signatures.

We are looking for the ability to play by ear and read chord charts.

  • You are welcome to use your own instrument or use our acoustic guitar, keys, bass, or drums. If you play another instrument please bring it with you.

Singers | will sing the first verse and chorus from a known song provided by us (we will have lyrics and charts available for you to use), sing harmony, sing a scripture from our list below, and finally construct a spontaneous chorus which is a short singable chorus in response to the chosen verse which will be repeated about five times. We will have a worship leader playing for them.

  • Please note: the chosen Scripture should be sung word for word. Spontaneous choruses should be short so the whole room can join along in singing. They should also be a response to the verse not a reiteration of the verse itself.

Worship Leaders | Worship leaders are required to lead from an instrument. This means they are expected to play an instrument and sing at the same time. The first verse and chorus of a known song will be lead followed by the singing of a scripture from our list below, and concluded with the construction of a spontaneous chorus (which is a short singable chorus in response to the chosen verse) which will be repeated about five times.
